About the event
A deep dive into Japanese Indigo. We’ll learn how to steward indigo in Oregon for bountiful and beautiful blue dye. Participants will get to explore multiple methods of fresh-leaf indigo dyeing - no vat required. Leave with dyed cotton and silk handkerchiefs (provided) and cuttings to root at home. Following the class, participants are invited to picnic at the farm. Light refreshments will be provided, but please bring your own sack lunch. Refrigeration available.
